reinkarnation Posted April 19, 2012 Report Share Posted April 19, 2012 Hey guys, So i can see that the youtube app will work to watch videos straight from youtube on my iphone and it gets displayed on my avic z130, but i bought this CBC live stream of the playoffs for 10 bucks thinking I could do the same thing. but only the sounds goes across... the video is just black... so only the youtube app is playign the video from the iphone but this CBC (canadian broadcastign company) live stream of playoffs wont play.. the screen is black... but the sound plays thorugh tthe vehicle speakers... and the picture only displays on the iphone and not the deck any help? or anythign i can do or am i just outta luck Quote Link to post Share on other sites
zx6rrdan Posted April 19, 2012 Report Share Posted April 19, 2012 If you can see youtube, video ect.. then it looks like the cable and connections are all working correctly. The apps that will appear on screen are only the apps that display as video out like youtube, That's how it works on my x930.. if you want to have screen mirroring of the phone with everything including home screen and all apps you can jailbrake and use tvout. I did it on my phone but didn't use it much so went back to an unbroken OS. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Very few apps have this so in the future you will want to be sure before purchasing. Now, all that being said the only thing you can do to get it to work is to jailbreak your iPhone and install a tv out extension from Cydia. Google is your friend for jailbreak and Cydia app details.
