Cloud
The open & angle buttons beep when I press them but it just won't open... what's wrong? Argh don't wanna spend more money on the car.
cntrylvr79
It's possible the face may be jammed on something. Year/make/model of car would help.
Cloud
2005 G35 6MT It opened once today and I closed it and I couldn't open it again. Doesn't sound like a jammed face or dead motor to me... If it's a loose connection, which wire is lose? Could it be a ground wire? My headlights were getting serviced last week and it was going out intermittently because of a bad ground wire.
Cincycaddy
I've had this happen two times in the 1.5 years I've had my D1. A reset via the faceplate did not work. What I ended up having to do was pull the fuse which supplied constant power to the unit. This reset it, getting it back in business. You can reset the unit this way three ways: A.find the correct fuse and pull it for 30 seconds or longer. B.pull the radio and unplug it for 30 seconds or longer. C.disconnect the battery for 30 seconds or longer. Which ever is easiest. Option A. would be ideal if you can find the correct fuse, while B. would be the next best. C. I would save as a last resort, just incase your car is prone to throwing a CEL when the battery is disconnected. Chris.
Cloud
i disconnected the battery for 2 mins , still didn't open.
Two_Cold
If it is still under warranty I suggest you send it in. If reset doesn't work then I wouldn't risk giving them a reason to void the warranty. Reset it twice in a row, see it that helps, then send it in.
cntrylvr79
Have you tried physically removing the unit from the car. Powering it up from a caar battery or test bench and seeing if it opens?
Cloud
i could open/close it for 10 minutes today, the 3rd time i started the car, it doesn't work again. I don't think I have my warranty...
