montecarlo18
I looked in the instruction manual at Pioneer for the X940BT, but could not find the answer to this question. When using the MicroSD card to play music, when you turn your vehicle off and turn it back on later, does the unit remember what artist and song you left off at on the SD card or do you have to go and pick the artist and album and song all over again? It would be pretty annoying to have to reselect everything every time you turn the unit back on. Thanks!
ncmudbug
Yes. If you shut off the car while listening to a song on the MicroSD card, it will pick it up where it left off when you turn it on again. Also, in case you were wondering, songs are played in order of their date-time stamp. This isn't a problem if you rip them from CDs since Real Player and Windows Media Player deal with them in the order they are found on the disk. I haven't tried a playlist, but I assume a similar situation exists.

What happens if you already have a file structure in place and you just copy from your PC harddrive onto the SD card? I understand that albums ripped through windows media player would be alright, but what about downloaded albums from amazon/itunes/etc? May be best to stay with an iPod for music evern though I was thinking about going with MicroSD.
ncmudbug
Usually, downloaded music is in mp3 format which the X940BT plays (all of mine tunes are in mp3 because they are smaller than the audio files and I don't think I could tell the difference in a car. I don't have itunes (or an iPod) so I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure it will play those just as easily. You might get better sound from the iPod, though as I say, I don't think I'd be able to tell the difference in a car - but maybe you can... You can increase the sampling when you rip or maybe even when you download an mp3 to improve the sound quality. I understand that when using your iPod, the sound is better with the iPod cable - though that's not strictly required. I think you can hook it up through the USB cable. MicroSD, USB memory stick, iPod... it's your choice.

zx6rrdan
I've got an iphone and a 32gb SD card for my x930bt and I usually just listen from the SD card. I really like always having the video and music available and not plugging in my phone. I've got everything organzied alphabetic and if I add something to the card I use a FAT sorter to ensure they show and play how I want... I posted here on the FAT sorter http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/34030-alphabetic-reorder-how-songsvideo-play-fat-table-sorter/
ncmudbug
I don't get album art from the SD card even though realplayer shows it on my computer from the same mp3 files. I didn't see in the owner's manual that I should see it so maybe that's normal. Any info on that? In any case, it is a very small deal. I'm not sure I need to be distracted by album covers changing on my screen while I'm driving.
nozzano22
I was hoping to find out how to display album art on the 950BT. So far I just get song info, no art. What am I missing?
jetjoe
Mine was sporadic. Sometimes the art was there, others not. I think it's how you copy the directory files to the micro card. Looking in my library there is always extra .jpg files. I think if those files are on your memory stick or card they will show up. I never really checked this out, just figured that was the case.
