AJWalkman Posted June 28, 2012 Report Share Posted June 28, 2012 Considering purchasing a used AVIC-Z2 on Craigslist tomorrow. Have done some research and saw faceplate motor issues. 1. Is there anthing I should look for in particular? 2, I saw on line I can power 12V + Acc and ground, what else is necessary? 3. If I brought cheap speakers with RCA plugs? 4. Any problem with checking two outputs at a time and not connecting to the others? 5. Recent value w/ BT, +IPOD, missing GPS antenna? I saw a broken one sold on ebay for $250 today 6. Is there a list on this site of stolen S/N so I can check, I do not want to benefit from someone's loss. garrettoomey Posted June 28, 2012 Report Share Posted June 28, 2012 Power up with ground, ACC, and 12v+. Open screen to confirm it works properly. Then insert DVD and confirm it will play. Check that you get 3 wiring harnesses, mic, and gps antenna. Speakers don't play off the RCA. BT is worth almost $100. iPod is about $40. An aftmarket gps antenna will cost about $20.
