sportsfan21
Hey guys A friend of mine has a 2001 Mustang GT with the MACH audio. Hes been wanting to put a new headunit in, but on Crutchfield it says that hes going to need to replace the factory amps. I figured that you guys would know better as to if this is true or not. If he wanted to replace his headunit, is there an adaptor that will allow him to keep the existing amps and speakers? If so, which one is it? Also, can anyone recommend a good headunit that allows for the direct control of the iPod? Thanks a lot
cntrylvr79
Yes it is possible to retain the mach amps. The harness he'll need is a 70-5519. As for radio with ipod control. I'd say best bet is hit a store and check a couple out and see what he thinks as far as the controls go.
