Avic on a gm factory xm antenna

Recommended Posts

Tried searching and couldnt find anything. I want ti get a z1 or d3 and run xm and gps through my factory xm antenna. I have a 07 trailblazer ss, and evryplace i asked said they can't do( which i figure is bs) and say i have to use a seperate antenna. I also have onstar which i need to keep in tact. Is this possible? Would i need the xm moduale, or would i just use the factorty one. It would be replaceing the bose 6 disk changer.

Thanks

Its not bs.

You will need to buy a new XM module, you can't use the one from the factory. The XM antenna might work for XM, but you still need to run a seperate antenna for the GPS.

You can keep the bose and onstar, I don't know the numbers off hand, but Peripheral makes adaptors so you can keep Onstar, Bose and the door chimes.
