AVH-5700 - AV inputs possible while still in motion?

Hello guys

 

I know the AVH-5700 unit says no operation for DVD or TV when in motion due to the brake interlock.

 

But what about the AV (RCA) input? Has anyone successfully tried?

 

for example, what if you have Xbox, and u hooked it up ..and ur passengers wanted to play while the vehicle was in motion?

Not really without using the camera input. Why not just bypass it?

or have searched for the "bypass" for the 5700.

 

can't find it...

so can anyone point me to it?

to bypass the 5700 you need to ground the e-brake wire, but here is the twist it must be grounded when the unit is powered then ungrounded then grounded again. Easiest way to accomplish this is put a toggle switch on the grounded wire. Power it up and flick the switch twice.

Taadaaaaaaaaaaah video in motion. And no the aux inputs will not work without this little trick.
