Bluetooth filmware missing

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I just got my X920bt a few weeks ago and I havent been able to get the bluetooth to work. I am running 3.0001 version (thank you avic411.com).

I have tried the z120bt 3.10 bluetooth version, the 3.11, and the bluetooth version that is included in the CNSD update. Still nothing.

Everytime I try to update it says "an error has occurred update has failed" or something similar to that nature. I did call pioneer and the guy i talked to said it was hardware but I am kinda doubting him.

Any thoughts, suggestions....? Jokes?

Just a bump, as I'm having the same problem.

Bluetooth had been working intermittently for me. When I go into bluetooth settings, most of the choices are greyed out, yet every now and then my phone pairs. We have two iPhone 4s, one with 6.0.1, and one with 5.0, and both had been working fine until a couple of weeks ago.

I did the CNSD update, and tried updating to 3.24, but I get the "an error has occurred update has failed" also, and the firmware version from the service settings page is "--------"

Any suggestions anyone?

as always - disconnect battery and accessory power to the unit (may be able to do this by pulling radio fuse), and doing a full reset on the unit (documented in owners manual).

If you dont see bt fw version, then something might be wrong with the bt module. But then again, a full power-off reset should fix it, if it is a software problem. If it's a bad BT hardware, then it's off to service.
