chrishgk Posted September 23, 2012 Report Share Posted September 23, 2012 In Waze and NavFree, the speed stays 0KM/u all the time. The GPS signal is good, and navigating works perfect. When i unplug the GPS receiver from the unit so it switches to the iPhone GPS, the speed DOES show on the Appradio screen. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance. vjaneczko Posted October 2, 2012 Report Share Posted October 2, 2012 Did you attach the GPS antenna when you installed the radio? I have a theory that when the phone is connected, the app will disable the phones internal GPS antenna and expects the radios antenna to do the job. Another question is if you strung the radios antenna somewhere where signal is getting blocked. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
chrishgk Posted October 3, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 3, 2012 When i just build in the radio, i didn't put the pjug from the GPS into the unit far enough, so the nab was indeed using the phone GPS. In the settings, i saw the unit's GPS wan 'not connected', so i took the AppRadio out, and connected the GPS antenna correctly. In settings, he now sees 10+ sats, and '3D positioning'. Unfortunatly, no speed. I do recall the GPS did read the speed, when it was using the iPhone's GPS. The GPS antenna is mounted in the same spot where my previous antenna was, which always worked fine. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
