DMB#41
Has anyone tried this yet? I was considering using the zune home av docking station with remote and hooking it up to my AV inputs once i get my AVIC-Z1. I refuse to buy and Ipod and think the slow response would drive me nuts. Any thoughts or opinions on this idea? Matt
cntrylvr79
don't see why that wouldn't work. I'm sure someone here has done something like that for the zune. I know it's been done to death with ipod videos.
DMB#41
What about zune compatibility with the USB add on for the Z1? Do you know if that will work?
aznsmartass24
I do that with the creative vision w that I have. The only bad part about it, is that you have to grab the media player controls to operate it. You wont be able to control it through the pioneer interface.
DMB#41
Ahh thanks!! thats the answer i was looking for. I will probably just use the AV input method with the zune remote.
penguin31
Just out of curiosity... why a Zune and not a 5th Gen iPod?
DMB#41
The Zune menus and interface look amazing! Twist menu structure. 400mhz processor Zune marketplace music is 198kbps The wireless sharing feature is cool now but I'm sure will be even more useful in the next firmware upgrade. FM radio. The screen is 1/2 inch bigger than 5th gen ipod. etc etc

grahamtwatson
Yep, I've got it working without any issues, including video. Easy to do, sounds great. I just used the audio/video cable, didn' t bother with the dock.
