1. Just tried to upgrade my Z1 to Z2 and increase to a 40Gb disk at the same time. When I put the new disk in the Z1, it came up with a message "Cannot use HDD" (in three languages). I had a couple of issues which may be the cause, but would appreciate advice... 1) When I wrote the Z2 image using Acronis, it expanded all the directories to take advantage of the extra space. I used Paragon HD Manager to shrink all but the user partition back to the original size, and take up the extra space with a bigger user partition. 2) The partitions were not names USER etc, they were all named som
2. Just bought myself a 40GB disk for $50 which people seem to have had some success with. For $50, what the heck. http://computers.pricegrabber.com/hard-drives/m/14244541/ if you want to see...

4. Yep, I've got it working without any issues, including video. Easy to do, sounds great. I just used the audio/video cable, didn' t bother with the dock.
5. Spoke with Mivey off the forum, who pointed me to rennlist.org. Mivey cut off his connectors and worked from the wires on his car harness. I eventually found http://www.nexxia.co.uk/index.html, who seem to have the basic connectors.
6. Hi, I'm hoping to do the same install this weekend (also a 2002 996 cab). Did you find any off the shelf connectors so that I can go a "nice" job of plugging the Z1 into the 996. I'd rather not cut the connectors off the Porsche wiring loom! If you did find some, can you let me know as much as possible about which ones and where you got them from please? Many Thanks, Graham
