Yes you can. One user has his ipod connector in his glove box, so passengers can plug in their iphones to listen to their own music.

When they are connected double press the home button and select mix from the menu bar and then ipod to use that as the sound source. Could also be the radio if you wanted.

Any MHL lead suitable for the Android phone (or Slimport for the Nexus 4) that you are using is all you need. No need for the Pioneer one.

 

Beware that the Samsung phones use different leads depending on the model and there are lots of fake leads out there. Even with the genuine Samsung lead, they can be flakey unfortunately.

can someone of you tell me which ipod I do need in order to run android and ipod-mode at the same time?

Can I simply install a ipod shuffle/ nano or do I need under all circumstances a ipod touch 4. generation?
