dannyz3343 Posted January 30, 2013 Report Share Posted January 30, 2013 Yes. The appradio 1 uses the component aspect of the iphone video out to display its signal. The lightning cable does not support this video standard. There is nothing Pioneer can do to fix it. It is not a case of them screwing over early adopters. Do we know how the 5 is going to be controlled by the AppRadio 2? I know the lightning to HDMI adaptor has a lightning port on it, but said port is only for charging. It won't transfer any USB data/ provide control of the iphone. I'm guessing Bluetooth, but no one has confirmed it. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
