Krisen Type-S
really? I was browsing around, and found this pic... isn't it a custom gauge? here's the thread i found it in http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... ht=contest
ducatiboy
I think that's a gage for a D2, not the Z1. We have them close to that, but not the same look. I would think that somewhere in that hard drive is the BMP image they use, I'm not sure if we can change the look of the gages, but I think changing the background would be somewhat easy. No one has ever tried (as far as I know).
PaisanNYC
Yes the gauges can be changed on the Dx/Nx series easily by replacing the files on the navigation disc. the Z1 has all the software on the harddrive and noone knows yet of a way to change the gauges on it. cntrylvr79
That's just a background. The gauge overlay is one of the preset options in the d1/2. BTW isn't that Jason's car?
PaisanNYC
you can import custom gauge overlays. I've overwritten SENSORBD.JPG and SENSORBR.JPG in the BG folder on my nav disc.
cntrylvr79
Now you tell me this. I'm getting a little tired of having to burn new navi discs. Remember what the size is by anychance?
Krisen Type-S
hmm... i see ok i was browsing best buy's site, and came across this pic is it just a photoshop? c'mon, u guys are smart... there's gotta be a way to mod the gauges!
ducatiboy
That could be a Z2.

Krisen Type-S
That could be a Z2. possibly, but they had it advertised as a Z1
cntrylvr79
That could be a Z2. possibly, but they had it advertised as a Z1 That wouldn't be the first time someone screwed up a picture on bb's website. i've had to deal with that more times than I can count in the past. Like advertising an amp/sub package that shows alpine type r's in the pic, but it's type e's in the real package.....
