Tomanytoysjf
Just installed my app radio 2 and running into 2 problems. 1.when I try and update software I keep getting "the version up file can't be read please save only one version up file to USB" I've tried reformatting my USB and nothing still? 2.i plugged iPhone 5 in to see what work and I'm getting an Andriod emblem? Click on apps, connect 50% BT, click ok then viewing of front seat video source while driving is prohibited. I tried searching all over the place and can't seem to find an answer, I'm getting frustrated. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks from a app radio newbie
vobele
Hi, I had exactly the same issue today:Bought and installed a new SPH-DA100 AppRadio2 which didn't support theAppRadio mode to my iPhone 5. Just mirroring the screen via HDMI Outputwithout any touchscreen functionality and normal Bluetooth functions like phonecalls worked fine. Tried to update the Firmware and as the system came upwith the same error message as yours did, I deleted the smaller of the twoupdate files from the USB stick and then the update succeeded. Bigmistake! After the "successful update", the iPhone5 support was evenworse than before, since mirroring now was not only withoutTouchscreen functionality, it now was even without Sound. After hours ofdown- und upgrading the Firmware in the Appradio2 , trying with other iPhonesrunning different iOS6 Versions, I tried to perform the Firmwareupdate twice. One time with the first of the two files, and right after againwith the second file. Guess what - now everything works asadvertised! Blame on Pioneer that this two-step process of upgrading the firmwarenowhere is mentioned, especially as the Radio itself completely refuses toaccept a USB stick holding both files as they came out of the zipped upgradefile from their servers. Hope it helped you out - regards.
dandiggz
You did the update wrong. You must install one file at a time, YUK first then HAT. Tomanytoysjf
I also overlooked it. But thanks to your posts I was able to update!!! One issue I seem to be running into now is when my phone is mirrored on radio all the apps are very small can't get any of them fullscreen. I've looked through app ext and saw nothing in there to change it, reset my phone and still nothing. Any suggestions on this problem?
dannyz3343
Do you have appradio extensions? That's a current issue with the beta.
Tomanytoysjf
Yes running most current version of app ext. but I've seen videos on YouTube of i5 running smoothly?
dannyz3343
Not likely... it is listed in his current bugs with beta 8. You may have been watching an iPhone 4s on iOS 5.

Using unsupported apps using AppEx is not currently supported with the i5 resolution. However if you just mirror the apps by pressing the home button on the phone, when you launch an app, physically twist your phone into landscape and it will display properly
