GEX-P5700TV Tuner Problem

Recommended Posts

Just installed a new GEX-P5700TV Tuner with my Z1.

Works great, but for some reason it will not display the TV on the rear displays. It is sending video, because it displays the menu on the rear screen, but for some reason it doesn't transmit the TV signal. Shows it fine on the Z1.

All other sources work fine on rear display.

I connected it with IP-BUS and AV-BUS to Z1. Rear screen is hooked to rear outputs of Z1.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It is set to MIRROR.

After reading through the Z1 manual, it actually says that it will not pass the TV tuner to the rear screen because it is connected with AV-BUS and not composite.

Unless someone knows of a work-around, I guess I will have to install an A/V switcher for my rear monitor and use the rear output signals from the GEX-P5700TV and manually switch to that cable when I want to use it.

since I don't have rear screens, you're going to have to forgive my ignorance on this.

But would you be able to just plug the rear outs from the TV tuner to the A/V inputs on the Z1, and then watch it on AV? I actually don't really even know how the tuner works, i've been meaning to get one.

No he can't. The Z1 doesn't have the option to accept the video input for the TV tuner through the A/V jacks. He can send audio and video from the tuner into the A/V jacks, but then he cannot control the tuner through the Z1.
