tmoney468
You need to use a usb flash drive in order to update it. The one thing im not sure about is whether or not you can use the USB port on the back, or if you must have the special Pioneer cable in order for it to work. I tried one USB flash drive and it said the file was damaged. Read online that this is a common problem, that the AR is really picky about flash drives. Anyone have an idea? e30cab
On my SPH-DA210Â I had to use the usb cable attached to the unit after formatting the USB drive to FAT (it did not like FAT 32).
tmoney468
I got this to work last night after using a SD memory card from a camera i have. the USB thumb drive wouldn't work for me. Can't really tell any difference between the versions, I still don't get any audio via App Radio, only Bluetooth.
VBLUE42
And how did you use an SD card on a unit with no SD card slot?
tmoney468
Sorry, I used a USB memory card reader for the SD Card, so in essence, it was a "usb" drive. My normal thumb drive didn't work, so this was my last resort, and it worked!
VBLUE42
Yeah I knew that! That was my way of getting you to explain yourself before people started asking where the SD card slot was on their units.
jlinnell98
I'm assuming appradio 3 uses USB 2.0 not 3.0 right? I'm going to run an extension cable and some 3.0 ext cables have issues with USB 2.0 devices (from reviews I've been reading). Just want to double check.
