dggarner0417
Recently I've seen a lot of head units for sale on eBay and such running touch screens and android 4.1 I have also been running AppRadio plus on my device until the recent 2.64 update and I'm pretty fed up with Pioneer's lack of support for the product so what I'm wondering is would it be possible to install android on my SPH-DA01 Appradio? I know it have a MIPS processor but they have 4.1 jellybean available for the processor (http://liliputing.com/2012/08/android-4-1-jelly-bean-for-mips-processors-now-available.html). I'd like to know if there are people currently working on this or if this has been tried in the past. I'd be satisfied with any version of android to be honest since iOS 7 none of my devices iPhone 4/4s/5 have worked with the AppRadio.
05LSV8
There was talk of someone running windows on their AR, but i think it was possible to brick the AR
texbuck
I was of the understanding that the Appradios were running under a heavily masked windows ce, but have had somebody dispute it. If so, there should be a way of getting into the native winCE just like the Mio Pocket app did with the non-linux pnd's about 5 years ago.
VBLUE42
Anything is possible but finding someone to devote the time is the issue. This is likely never to be.
