datagon99
The hardrive went bad on my Z140BH. I really don't want to send it to Pioneer because of the hefty price tag (I'm a month out of warranty). Is there any way that I can image the software on an aftermarket hard drive? Anybody know where I can get the software and the type of hard drive I need to buy? I turned my old Z2 into a Z3 years back, but I haven't seen any directions on how to image the software on the newer units. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
RonS
1st - seems to me this should be under "Problems and Troubleshooting". I'm not just being anal, someone in the future may have the same problem - or similar enough that the solution is the same....And they will never find it in "General". 2nd - z1xx series don't have hard-drives - they store everything in NAND - except for your media files which can be elsewhere. 3rd - A hint to your solution might already be here in several places. If your files in NAND have errors you might be able to recover by using the alternate files. datagon99
Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the improper posting ettiquete, I haven't posted anything here in years. I'll try out the test mode solution shown in the linked thread. I hope to God it works...
