drenyce311
Heres my setup so far. Its going into a 2007 Chrysler Aspen Hemi. Factory Nav SUCKS BALLS. I already installed the back up camera to get one thing out of the way. I have to remove the factory DVD player and add this one to it. 13.5 hdmi DVD player. I fabricated a cover since the factory dvd player is longer than the dvd player. (OEM is big no reason) Made it out MDF board with 3/8" thick headliner foam with cream leather to match the interior. Cant wait to start. Also the speakers are all connected already. I upgraded them about 2 months ago.

installer/engineer
Working Bypass for Avic NEX units! Ok first off I'm new to this forum, but I'm a 24 year veteran custom intallation specialist, and the technician at an authorized pioneer repair center. That being said I coulnd't find a better place on this forum to post this but I have a confirmed motion bypass. The double pulse doesn't work. I tried it just to see if there was something to it but no such luck which is probabley a good thing since the bypass method i know of is easier lol. I installed an Avic-7000NEX and did a semi custom molded dash in my newer Suzuki Grand Vitara to accommodate the motorized face. They still haven't figured a way to make the motorized face usable in most standard dash kits but anyway here is the bypass. I should first tell you that reguardless if you do the bypass, if you hook the brake wire to ground it will work for a little while until the nav auto calibtares and it gives you the imporoperly hooked up brake wire error. The bypass is however just that simple, plus 1 extra step. Ground the parking brake wire, then on the av screen select off to turn the unit off, and then push the screen in the left corner about a half inch up and a half inch to the right and hold it for aproximately 10 to 15 seconds. The unit will fash in small print "set on" in the middle of the screen and your bypass is complete. It took me a second to get it the first time finding the right spot and such, but I garantee it really will work . Enjoy and I hope this wasn't already posted, but I couldn't find it if it was.
