Mannyman
The wait is over! My AVIC-D3 has come in from crutchfield! I'll hopefully have time to install it tomorrow, and I will post again with my own impressions. Basic observations: - The front bezel is kind of a glossy black, but not quite as shiny as the picture on Crutchfield (good thing, because that pic had me slightly disturbed). The design looks great and I think will look good in my 95 Maxima. - The volume knob is indeed a standard analog knob with a click button function. I never looked this up in the manual but I believe that is for switching av inputs, muting, or answering bluetooth calls. - Dimensions are as follows: 3.75" tall, 7" wide, 6.75" deep I have also attached pics of the box, all included cables and manuals, and the front and back of the unit itself. If anyone has any other visual related questions, feel free to ask.

silkjones
Good stuff dude...would this be an impossible task to install myself if this is my first time? I'm tired of paying people an arm and a leg to do things...I need to start learning myself. I have an 05 Chrysler 300C.

Mannyman
Unfortunately I don't know much about the D2 bypass since I didn't own the unit, I held out and waited for the D3! Is there something on the D3 I should look for that might be of interest to you in relation to the bypass?
DougB541
Ehh, if you look at the bottom, is there a silver sticker covering what appears to be a hole? DON'T LIFT IT! Unless you want to void your warrenty, but just let us know if the sticker is there.
