SamyBoyz
Hey Guys, I used to own an AVH-8400 who's screen kept on freezing while direct sunlight would come in contact with it, sent it in for repair and got a 4000NEX, with the XM module of my old unit not being compatible,i was hoping the GPS would work (The asian tech who always answers the support line in Canada said it would). But it seems like it doesn't. When i press the MODE button i get a black screen. Today i tried a DVD movie in my new unit, work nicely even with the 8400's bypass, when i press MODE while the movie is playing, now I get blurry writing, somthing about navigation and to press OK, not sure cause it's way too blurry (Attached is a picture). Now i know my U220 was working fine until I had the new 4000NEX installed, would this mean; A ) My U220 got friend B ) Not plugged in properly C ) Is not compatible with the New 4000NEX D ) The 8400's bypass is not compatible with the New 4000NEX and while DVDs are functional the U220 is affected by the combination. Below is what the blurry text looks like: Thanks for all your help!
joemamma1954
according to pioneer, the only compatible navi is the AVIC-U250 and the newer AVIC-U260. I own the u260 and it works like a dream. The u260 has the newer navi system like the Nex 5000-8000, I believe.
