mailtonex Posted November 11, 2014 Report Share Posted November 11, 2014 I am having Avic 5000 Nex with Iphone 6 running IOS 8.1. The daytime Apple maps displayed in car play unit looks washed out. The 3d rendered buildings are not clear where as in the night time the map looks fantastic with perfectly rendered buildings. Any one is having similar problem. Pjrm68 Posted November 11, 2014 Report Share Posted November 11, 2014 Try increasing the brightness. That worked for me with the Music app and album art. With CarPlay active, press the physical home button, then the settings icon (upper right hand corner), then scroll down to Picture Adjustment. Play around with the brightness, contrast, and dimmer settings. These settings will only affect CarPlay. (Also, credit goes to Spankey for pointing this out to me.)
