Guest
has anyone confirmed this works to bypass the parking brake feature? it was said from a pioneer tech that they test thier units with the brain upside down to bypass the video lockout. it doesnt have any affect on the nav control/gyro sensors
NYRngrs24
doesn't seem too bad to do. why don't you give it a try? I only heard of soldering to bypass

Guest
Yes it works. But instead of solder, go to Radio Shack and pick up a circuit tracing pen. Then take the silver sticker off the bottom of the unit, and you will see the two points and just use the Circuit Tracing Pen and draw a line between the points. I have done this and it has lasted over 6 months now and it eliminated having to get the solder iron out and a little Isoprop Alcohol and a Q-Tip and you can remove the trace, where solder is a little more permanent.
