jguy
I would like to watch movies and have a memory navigation going at the same time. According to the instructin book depending on how long the trip is, the nav disc may have to be reinserted. What is the longest trip we could take and keep the move in? Thanks in advance all Jim
ironhide0427
I think the memory is for a 50 mile radius...but you only have to put in the disc so it can save the next 50 miles which takes a few seconds then you can out back your DVD again and it will play from the scene you left stopped at. whtcrxghst
You can travel on a trip for hundreds to thousands of miles without having to put the disk back in
Nocturnal
Which one is true, lol one guy is saying one thing, the other guy is saying something else.
coocho
both are kinda. So long as you dont diviate from your route to much, you can go the entire route. The route width was i think 2.5 in either direction for route width.
Nocturnal
lets say you take a wrong turn for example, and you go past that 2.5mile width. Will the system prompt you to put in the navi cd?
coocho
yeah it will ask you to insert the DVD disc back in.

VBLUE42
I ran into this situation today, i was cruising to work with no route entered at .25 zoom, i ejected the disk and at about 3.5 to 4 miles later the car icon ran off of the map and it zoomed to about a 10 to 15 mile zoom level. So it doesnt seem to hold much at all.
whtcrxghst
When you program in a route, thats when it remembers the area. Thats why the icon blinks after you do it. Without a route in, there is no reason to remember so much detail to stay zoomed in at .25 miles so it zooms out I ran into this situation today, i was cruising to work with no route entered at .25 zoom, i ejected the disk and at about 3.5 to 4 miles later the car icon ran off of the map and it zoomed to about a 10 to 15 mile zoom level. archiea
I never understood why they don't let you upgrade the unit's memory with a flash card or something....
tigabalm
so can the unit re-route from memory as long as you stay within the 2.5 mile limit? thanks nathan
