jimmy303
Do you mean the round joystick button with the 4 little dots on it?
BobyYoo
yes the knob below the src button i can't glue it back, otherwise i cant press the button to access the function menu with the equilizer setting etc...
jimmy303
Is it the knob that broke or the peg that sticks out of the radio?
BobyYoo
it is the peg that broke.
jimmy303
Ohhhhhhhh, your'e screwed.
BobyYoo
yeah no fix for this. i'm lucky that it still works, but very hard to control without the knob. I almost glue it back, then i realized that I won't be able to push the button to access the equalizer menu. It's only going to move up down, left right. No push-in, so no equalizer setting. Then I will be screw big time...so no glueing for me.
jhoglesr
The CD-SR11 Steering Wheel Remote control has the joy stick UP DOWN / LEFT RIGHT functions but not the PUSH IN.
GnatGoSplat
Pioneer's parts department will sell parts to end users, or at least they used to. If you want to be adventurous, you can take the face apart and replace the rotary encoder. I had to do something similar on a MiniDisc recorder I got back in the 90's when the jog dial was broken off in shipping.
GnatGoSplat
Ah, just looked it up. The joystick switch is p/n CSX1075. $25.87 from Pioneer. http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/par ... um=CSX1075 It would be quite a bit of work to replace it though. Gotta open the face and do some soldering.
BobyYoo
thanks, but $25 just for a switch and i need to solder it. i guess i'll stick without it.
jimmy303
Without the push-in on the joystick, you won't be able to access several features on the D1/2, such as setting time, turning on/off back up camera and a/v inputs, etc.....
BobyYoo
my knob is broken, but the little peg pin is still there, so i can still push in. it is just more difficult but it still works
naptownswangin
Send it in for repair. If it was broken during shipment, shouldn't they be liable? Don't be ghetto, have it fixed homie. Just my .
BobyYoo
i bought it on ebay, so i got no invoice. and if i wanted to, i would have to take out the unit and wait for weeks until they fixed... I will just leave it as it is
