Fabian43
I tend to leave my nav disc inside my D3 all the time because I use XM and ipod but because of this I have noticed that the disc seems to be making a noise similar to what you would hear when you put a software disc inside of a cpu. Sounds like the head unit is trying to read the disc constantly and/or like the disc is spinning. I hope I am making sense. Has anyone else noticed this? And if so is there a fix? It just doesnt happen sometimes, it happens all the time, and I can hear it.
whtcrxghst
I notice it once in a while when I have the music turned down. Especially when it is calculating or recalculating a route. Not a big deal

Not a big deal It is perfectly normal that you hear the disc spinning. Just like normal DVD-ROM/CD-ROM, they spin faster when it is doing calculation due to higher speed (4X or 8X). At normal condition, it is still spinning but at 2X which is very slow and quiet.
