zride
Finally got it installed. I posted my message about the "white-noise" when you click the buttons. Still havent figured that one out yet. If anyone has a solution or heard this on theirs, let me know what you did to get rid of it - besides shutting off the beep.
WRichieX
Very nice. Hope you get that white noise thing worked out. Another question. I'm thinking about trading my car in for a 350z. Is it possible to install the d3 (or any navigation/dvd) in that covered spot above? and keep the stock radio in the regular spot?
nolaz
very clean install! looks like you got the rear view camera issue resolved! hope to be joining the z/d3 club soon...
zride
Wrichie, I think there is a screen that you can fit in the cubby spot, but you will have to re-do the dash. I think it is called a farenheit screen. Check out my350z.com, they have details. Nolaz, thanks. Got the camera issue solved, works great. The wire to splice into is behind the plastic behind the drivers seat. Lemme know when you install in your z and I will help you out. Pretty simple actually. Now that I'm done, I'm going to disneyland.
coocho
what used to be in that big empty space above your D3?
CSM-ScionGuy
Nice clean install...looks great! Since I havent received my D3 yet from CF, can I ask you whether the cam have a specific side that has to be up an the other side down? Or can you adjust the image with the HU? zride
coochoo: that is the location of the factory nav. If you don't get it, you get a big space. I plan on using it for the ipod. Got the cable ready. About the camera, yea there is an up and a down. I originally had it upside down and had to flip it over. It's the one from CF. Works great. CSM-ScionGuy
zride, I asked a few others who installed the cam. They have informed me that you can unscrew the base and screw it back on the opposite direction. Maybe that will help you to tuck that base in trunk somehow and give it a cleaner look. Just trying to help.

EndoNav1
Yeah, Clean comes to mind! Really kick azz. What's that space above the D3? looks like you have room for more toys. Any plans to utilize that space other than storing stuff in there. Thanks for post......nice Enjoy,
