Julius
Can you buy a wireless remote for the Avic D3 ? I don't want to be constantly reaching to touch the screen for every change I need to make.

necro
If you are looking for basic functions, an older pioneer remote may work. When I upgraded from a DEH-8600MP to the D3, I noticed that my old remote would skip songs back and forth. I haven't tested much beyond that but it does show that it's somewhat backwards compatible. I'll test more with my remote and let you know how well it works. However, that remote "Maxima SE" posted from pioneer's website will be best since it has A/V functions. hybridamp
I use the older CD-R5 that I had with my older Pioneer deck, works perfect and so does my remote from my DEX-P9... So pretty much any Pioneer remote, just choose the one that controls the functions you need access to.

So pretty much any Pioneer remote, just choose the one that controls the functions you need access to. I have a Pioneer Premier KEHM780 head unit. That's about 12 years old. Will that remote work with the D3 ? Also, do you know if my 12 disc pioneer changer will work with the D3 ? It's also about 12 years old. Thanks !!
WRichieX
Does the CD-SR100 work with the D3? THe steering wheel column. I'm thinking it will only do music. Can anyone that uses this confirm?
Nocturnal
On the website, it states that stores such as best buy, circuit city, etc. carry these remotes. Do you guys know if most of these places have it in stock?
