MisFit
your car does not have a vss. you have to use a speed pulse generator or just put the unit in learn mode, which works fine anyway
naplesbill
I didn't connect my VSS and the speed reading from the D3 is exactly the same as my cars Speedometer.
rtpjunior
I didn't connect my VSS and the speed reading from the D3 is exactly the same as my cars Speedometer. The factory radio has the "speed compensated volume" feature. I'm thinking there should be a wire in the OEM radio harness I could use. Your thoughts ????
MisFit
no, a lot of factory radios now get that feature through data, its not something you can tap into. the new platform fords no longer have the gray/black at the radio harness
Sabre3487
I have a Zephyr. The vss is sent via the Medium speed can bus [16 pin harness] to stock radio along with illumination etc.. Underneath the drivers side there is the smart junction box. you can get the reverse gear pin there green/white, rear park lamps also for illumination (grey/yellow). You can buy if you choose from soundgate audio CAN vss interface that you connect to the OBDII conector. I have the wire printout, send me a PM and I will give you info. Burn
