soundguydave
In my jetta, the illumination wire that is directly behind the dash is connected to a rheostat. Is that ok to use? or do I need to run a wire to the switch?
pd performance
In my jetta, the illumination wire that is directly behind the dash is connected to a rheostat. Is that ok to use? or do I need to run a wire to the switch? That will work fine, ist just needs someting telling it the lights are on and can detect it. You can also just use any gray/blue wire by any of the switches near the radio so you don't have to run the whole way over.
soundguydave
Cool. i read a post where a guy said not to use it. it'd be sweet if the dimmer that controls the brightness of my stock unit could adjust the brightness of the D3, but i am assuming that this is not the case. it looks like the only pain in the ass will be running a 12v accessory to the fuse box on the drivers side door and pulling out the dash for the VSS wire. I think I'll try to do a DIY since there isn't a good one for the MKV jettas.
