Guest Wild Rover
I'm getting quoted $800 to install the Z1, iPod and XM Nav Traffic in my 2003 BMW X5. Sounds high - thoughts? How much did it cost to have installed in your car?
docluv01
are they doing any dash customization? i have a 2001 druango, which had a chrysler 1.5 din opening, which was wider then normal. they had to do a lot of customizing to get the radio to look semi-factory. they charged like 600-700. if no customization, and u have a double din opening, no more then 150 to 250. everythign is straightforward. ADAMB06
I have an 04 Chevy Avalanche, got it installed at Ultimate Electronics for $210 don't pay that much. 150-200 is about right!
05Stang-GT
Cost me about 3 hours worth of my time....
elansinger
I paid $750 for Z1, bluetooth, XM, PAC, ducatiboy bypass circuit and hardwire radar detector in my BMW M3. They had to modify the air vents though so it was quite a bit of work. I was happy to pay it--everything works great!
Ryan
One word or three letters...BMW. Bimmers are one of the hardest installs for any shop and they charge you for it too. I've had 3 5 series and it always costs me more. 800.00 seems a little high though. 500.00 sounds more realistic. What do i know, I just spend money before I even have it. Chuckzul
Installed my own in a 05 Subaru Legacy, took about 3 hours, reused most (if not all) the original OEM wiring.
