spike13
Hello, I found this site while researching the z1 vs the z2. I've read a lot about the bypass, but didn't see a summary of what exactly it's bypassing. (yes I did a search.) Could someone please summarize the functionality that this enables? thanks in advance. Hyperite
When the interlock is engaged, you are not able to use a majority of the functionality of the navigation, phone via bluetooth, or hardware configuration via the touch screen. Some things (like poi or address search) are only useable with voice recognition. Additionally, the interlock prevents viewing DVDs while in motion.
spike13
Cool thanks! phone via bluetooth You mean you can't use the screen to answer the phone while driving? And if I have the bypass, then everything works while in motion via the touch screen?
Hyperite
You can answer the phone and dial 5 pre-selected numbers from your phonebook, but not dial other numbers or make changes to your phonebook. Bypassed you can do all functions at any time.
