MisFit
this is the bezel to lincoln MKZ that i am working on. im not really thrilled with the fact that the trim is not evev all the way around, but the stock brackets that i need to use wont allow me to make it even. if this was your car, would you be happy with it?. i gotta finish this in the morning, and i dont know if i should start over from scratch or not. what do you think? PaisanNYC
i think it looks fine in the pic, hardly noticeable. But if it were in my vehicle, staring at it every day, I dont know if I would notice it more or not.
MisFit
i know its noticable. its 1/4 inch on top and 3/4 on bottom. i dont expect them to not notice, i just want to make sure it looks ok
MisFit
gee, thanks for all the input guys. 21 views, and only one opinion
bobmun
to be honest it would bother me.
NapaCoach
<~~~ not an installer it would bother me on a daily basis
Two_Cold
If you mean the grey trim piece, I think it looks good. I wouldn't sweat it. I am rather fussy about fit and finish yet that wouldn't bother me. Uneven gaps left and right would drive me nuts, but that install looks good.
noreaga0221
Ya the color difference sucks. At first I thought you were talking about gaps.
MisFit
i dont care about the color. the camera made that look worse than it really is. i was talking about the trim being bigger on the bottom than on the top  it actually looked a little better once it was back in the car
PaisanNYC
MisFit, Â I would prefer it to be offset, with a bigger trim on the bottom, because it raises up the headunit to a slightly more comfortable reaching space.
ReedH
I'm a pretty easy going guy but particular at times, I think it looks good. Its nice and clean looking and I think unless the owner is a real stickler I don't think they will give you any trouble. Good Luck
bobmun
It does look better in the vehicle.
MisFit
well, the dealer loved it. hopefully the customer does too. thanks guys. i'm just really anal with this stuff. i'm much more picky than any cutomer i ever had
cntrylvr79
Doesn't look bad at all. As long as the customer is happy right. I take it there was no way to redrill holes in the stock brackets?
MisFit
no, they were strange brackets. the holes were on small tabs, next to empty spaces. i would have had to drill them 1/8 of an inch away to make it even, but there wasnt enough metal on the tabs. not a typical install. most fords come out perfect. this one kicked my ass a little bit
