djoker04
I'll be driving from MD to Texas at the end of the Month. here is my Q's? Will I have to start off with the East coast disc 1st then Change over to the West when I'm out of the "AREA"? And will I have to reprogram the destination? hell whaty do I have to do. I have the D1!!
whtcrxghst
There are ten states that overlap on each disk (the east disk goes much further than the picture on it shows,) so I would start out with the east coask until it prompts you to put in the west. That way if you need to do a vicinity search for gas or something, you can do it
MadTxn
I just did the exact same thing last week. I stopped in Nashville and switched discs there. Worked just ducky.
NY99Q45t
But can you set a route with an origin on one disc and a destination on another?
whtcrxghst
Yes. You would only need the other disk if you wanted to do a POI or Vicinity Search in the new area

LivermoreBrian
Yeah, what's kewl for me, since I live in Chicago, area 6 is on both discs. So, if one disc is damaged I can just enter the other one and I'm good to go. Still trying to figure out how to make back-ups. Just haven't had a chance to try.
