Guest
Hello. i have the z1 and the bluetooth unit ndbt1. i have a verizon razr. when the phone rings, no ring sound plays over the speakers. i've tried adjusting the ringer volume in the unit and the phone, and no the phone isnt on vibrate or silence. the directions for the z1 do say that not all phones will play a ringer over the speaker. but right now i have no audio indication that i'm getting a phone call, besides the actual phone (if the ring is on)!! any help? if the z1 would play a sound, any sound, when i'm getting a call, that would be great. 03Aviator
Look at the instructions for your phone. On my LG VX8300, there is an option to transfer the rings to the Bluetooth unit (the Z1) or keep them at the phone. Yours might be the same.

I had my son do it while he was farting around with the system. He works for Verizon. I'll have to ask him. All I know is it wouldn't ring through the Z1 at first. Then he played with it and it does. The manual says you can switch it too....but I didn't check any further because he did it for me.
elgruen
I checked the manual, but I was not able to find where the option is....please let me know what your son says he did to get it working...Thanks!
tacoma
I know this doesn't help other than to let you know it SHOULD work. I have the v3 RAZR from Verizon - my Z1 rings just fine. Keep plugging!
elgruen
I went through every menu option on the VX8300, including the hidden service menu and have not been able to location the option. Any suggestions?
elgruen
03Aviator - Were you able to get info. from your son on how to get the VX8300 to send the ring tone to the Z1?
edrock200
I have a RAZR and the ringer does come through the Pioneer's speakers. Who is your mobile carrier? Is it the V3 or V3c? Rev 1 or 2?
elgruen
I have a Verizon LG VX8300...the same setup as 03Aviator. I tried a different phone with my Z1 and the ringer played over the bluetooth on the speakers. However, my LG VX8300 rings only on the phone. I have read the entire manual and went through every option on the phone without success. What setting did you change on your RAZR?

elgruen
If your ringer is playing through bluetooth over your vehicle's speakers, please reply the phone model, service provider, and any settings you had to change on the phone to get the ringer to play on the speakers. Thanks!
guitar7272
Phone: Motorola Q Carrier: Verizon The default setup worked for me. I think you can also toggle this feature by going to 1)start 2)bluetooth 3)bluetooth manager 4)Menu --> Advanced 5)select/deselect "Use Hands-free for standard audio".
