1.
How did you guys get the upgrade to work? I have tried two different CDRs and they do not work. It just stops on CD-ROM injected. I used Roxio to burn the CDR.
I used nero, burned all the files to the root folder, and made sure that it was set to finalize the cd. The cd has to be finalized, if it's not the update will probably fail. Look around your program for the Disc-at-once settings and make sure that its set to finalize. Hope that helps.
 2.
I don't think it's against the law to unlock the Z1 with the bypass. If that were the case, ALL factory units would also be locked. My 06 Acura unit works just fine when in motion...as I'm hearing most European models do. So it can't be a legal issue. My guess is it's a liability issue. If that's the case, I'm sure an installer would shy away from it. It really is easy to hook up Ducatiboy's circuit. As long as you can get your head unit out, you can splice it in. It's almost foolproof.
' In NJ, it is illegal to have motion video playing on a scr
 3.
I just did the upgrade... what a difference it makes in the CDDB... It found all 9 of my cd's that it had no clue about it before. Good, verified the bypass still works for those curious..lol DO IT, DO IT NOW!!
I have also updated my CDDB database with no negative effects to ducati's flasher bypass.

 5. Just out of curiousity, what does your voltage read in the vehicle dynamics display? If you don't know how to enable this, go to the map screen then press the "map" hardkey and select vehicle dynamics. Then touch either the left or right dial on the display and select voltage. I'm sure circuit guru ducati will be able to tell you if your voltage is out of range.
 6. Phone: Motorola Q Carrier: Verizon The default setup worked for me. I think you can also toggle this feature by going to 1)start 2)bluetooth 3)bluetooth manager 4)Menu --> Advanced 5)select/deselect "Use Hands-free for standard audio".
 7.
AMEN!! It took me 15 minutes to install the board and now my $2200 radio works like it should have out of the box. The best thing is that my wife has finally quit bitching about how much the unit was... she watched Sex and the City all the way up to Fishkill NY last Saturday! Thanks Steve!!!!! Rich in NY :D
Ouch - I think I'd rather listen to the bitching  .

 10. Well I had posted about the Q, but it looks like you own one of them judging from your signature line so disregard. :D I dont think it will transfer the entire phonebook at a time though I havent tried it personally.
 11. My Q is working pretty good with the adapter. I took a 2 hour drive yesterday and didnt experience a single drop or disconnect.
 12.
The z1 only has 2 levels. Day time and night time. You can set the intensity of each manually and the lights will switch between the 2, but the Z1 won't respond to the dimmer knob in your dash and change the birghtness that way. It's a button on the Z1. Do the guys on the VWVORTEX board know about the auto flasher circuits for the Z1 that I sell? www.sminntech.com
Thanks for clearing that up for me, good to know. I purchased one of your cicuits about a week ago and then called up my installer to see if he could pu
 13.
I have a 2004 Jetta GLI I'm looking to get the Z1 shortly and of COURSE would love to have everything unlocked while driving. So my passenger can input GPS directions while i drive and or watch a movie. and so i can use it while in traffic or waiting at a stop light i have been reading all over the forum and I would love to just have to have my lights on then turn them off at the load screen. however, i have daytime running lights that can not be turned off unless i pull the E brake when the car is on. will this keep the trick from working? will turning my
 14.
do not buy from mytaxfree.com although they have the cheapest z1 shipped anywhere(i paid under 1500. for mine shipped) but they also take the longest...almost 3weeks. some ppl like 6thave.com i shoulda bought from them cuz of the sic deals u get on periferals
I bought from Mytaxfree.com too. I see a lot of people complaining about them, but I recieved my order in 4 business days - maybe I got lucky. The day after I placed my order, I called to confirm and was told I would have it in hand on the 28th. Sure enough, fedex delivered on the 28th. If I had
Why would the warranty be void if pioneer lists 6ave.com as an authorized internet reseller? check out http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v ... 87,00.html Am i missing something? And, I also purchased from 6ave.com and yes they are jerks..
