HEMIINAZ Posted June 23, 2007 Report Share Posted June 23, 2007 I tried an autoworks harness adapter and I can get my D3 powered up but no speaker sound. Has anyone installed thier system into a RAM 1500? The adapter has alot of the harness not even connecting up with the pinout of the vehicle plug. Does my truck need a canbus adapter? hottwhyrd Posted June 23, 2007 Report Share Posted June 23, 2007 its probly got an amp either behind drivers dash or in a horrible spot behind the glovebox. i always just bypass the amp. the wire colors are matched up (white/red, white/black) so its pretty easy. for the acc wire ususally the cig lighter is powered by the retained accesory so check that. for steering wheel controls ull need 2 parts the peswips, and the peswican. they cost about 130 on ebay.
