Help with IP-BUS hookup

Recommended Posts

I'm adding the XM tuner (GEX-P10XMT) to my Z1 that already has a tv tuner (GEX-P5700TV) attatched by ip-bus. I keep looking at the connection daigram, but I'm not quite sure how to follow the "daisy chain" process.

Do I make a complete loop through all components? or is it a one way connection? I know it shouldn't be this confusing. I believe I have the 5700 "looped" in that I have one cable to the 5700, and another one coming back to the Z1. If so, I guess it wouldn't matter waht order they are in.

Any help would be much appreciated.

*** EDIT: okay...I see I have an AV-BUS between TV tuner and Z1. Would this be part of the chain? ***

IPBus (Z1) -> GEX-P10XMT (output)

GEX-P10XMT (Input) -> GEX-P5700TV (Output)

OR

IPBus (Z1) -> GEX-P5700TV (output)

GEX-P5700TV (Input) -> GEX-P10XMT (Output)

OR

Give me your GEX-P5700TV because you can;t seem to wire it up properly and you think you'll never get it working (I will pay the shipping if you want me to 8) )

Your AVBus doesn't form part of the equation
