Nav memory Q

Recommended Posts

all right just had my D3.. bypassed it, everything works like a charm... ok now just a quicky 1 ... is there any way to copy the Nav DVD in the actual D3 HD or in the ipod with a small bypass in the D3 to read it directly from the ipod or its own HD...

D3 does have hard-drive. It's 10G to store misc things (phone books, favorite addresses, settings, ...)

However, it is dvd-based nav, not HDD-based nav.

Hello Mr. Clueless,

The D3 does NOT have a harddrive. It uses non-volatile flash memory to store those things you mentioned. Disconnect the battery. If the D3 had a harddrive, the settings would be stored physically on the harddisk. Try the experiment. See if it has a harddrive or flash memory.
