jacek1969
i have a 2004 freestar, i would like to replace my factory 6cd/radio with the new factory navigation system. i found a few on ebay, those are out of new explorer, f150, mustang, edge. would those be compatible with my van (plug and play) or do i need a special wiring harnes? would those navigations systems have to be reprogrammed in any way? MisFit
if your talking about stock ford systems, no , they are not the same size face as an 04 ford. they also mount differently. its not going to work
cntrylvr79
Don't forget about the wiring. Good luck finding all that.

Jaradel
I just had the AVIC Z2 installed in my 04 Freestar and it looks great. Why not go that route instead? I replaced my single CD/cassette/AM-FM stereo, and it took the Circuit City guys less than the 2 hours they quoted me to install it. Furthermore, I've added the aux input cable to it since then, and it was easy to get in the dash to do that.
