ghrays
I had my AvicD3 installed by Circuit City last week. They tried to install the VSS wire, but said it didn't work when they used the wire behind the instrument cluster their database pointed to. They also said they were reluctant to tapinto any wires underneath the glovebox, as they have had bad experiences with ruining the "control modules" located there. Can someone help me find the needed wire? It is for the XT (Turbo) model. Also, if I can find the wire, how do I know it is properly installed? Thank you.
steve310
Speed Senseis the green/yellowwire at the ECM, 20 pin plug, pin 10 The ECM (Engine Control Module) is below the glove box. The VSS wire is also found behind the instrument cluster in the middle plug. On the turbo models, the vss wire is in the 35 pin plug, pin 27. You can test it with a multimeter, and if the frequency changes when you move, you have the right wire.
