louiea
I was paging through the manual along with the site and the manual shows a text button for the radio to get the name of the song while listening to terrestial radio, but the text button does not appear, is there a setting somewhere I am missing? installthis06
I think he has a D3. But I'm pretty sure it doesn't have RDS
PaisanNYC
None of the AVICs support RDS (yet)
jbhorne
None of the AVICs support RDS (yet) Â $2000 bucks and no RDS? This is one of my grips with the Z1. My factory ford radio had this. Totally sucks.
mvd
I live in Europe and my Avic D3 supports RDS. Also no need for a bypass for watching dvd's. They add an option cable to connect to the handbrake. If the handbrake is on you can watch dvd. When you don't install the cable its always on.
PaisanNYC
Sorry mvd, I was generalizing for US models of the AVICs. We don't have too many members here who live over the Atlantic Pond lol
jbhorne
becuase RDS means Reading Display while Speeding. Â Yes, that is why AVIC's don't have this feature in our free country!
Kricket
None of the AVICs support RDS (yet) Â does this mean that rds may be in the works via some form of update? can you even update the software on the avic? that would be sweet!

Doubtful pioneer radios haven't had rds in a very long time.
installthis06
Why would you want RDS anyways? Just get satellite radio. No commercials much better content. Only a few bucks a month and its worth it. Terrestrial radio sucks.
