kchinth27
I have a D3 and I am trying to get the factory DVD player to work. I bought the Metra 70-5520AV wiring harness. It has a black wire, blue/white wire, and red/white RCA outs. I'm not sure where to connect these wires. I assume that the black wire goes to ground, the red/white RCAs go to the audio input on the D3, but where does the blue/white go? Any help would be appreciated. kchinth27
I tried that. When I push the power button on the DVD player, it will come on for about 5 seconds, and then turn off. The screen comes on and the DVD spins, and then it just shuts off. Sometimes its less than 5 seconds.
MisFit
it wont work with all ford systems. there are a lot of different configurations in fords, and different ways of interfacing. its all just trial and error
kchinth27
So what are some things that I can try? Has anyone else had a similar problem?
MisFit
in some you need to jump certain wires in the monitor harness. in others you have to relocate the stock radio and keep it powered. in others you cant do it at all
