bobkatt Posted August 16, 2007 Report Share Posted August 16, 2007 I Installed my D3 about a week ago and could not have done it without this forum, so thanks for all the info! I am having an problem with my XM on the source screen. almost every time when I first turn the key in my car the XM button is not active, but if I turn the key off and back on the XM button become active. It does not matter it the antenna has a clear shot or if the car is in the garage. Any help would be appreciated. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
hottwhyrd Posted August 16, 2007 Report Share Posted August 16, 2007 how do you have it wired? are the power wires from the xm box going to constant (yellow) or accesory (red)? the brain needs constant power if thats not the problem try grounding it to a different spot Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I took the black wire and soldered all wires that go to ground together and hooked the end of the black wire to the chassis. This weekend I will desolder this wire and put is on a seperate chasis ground. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
