z2 upgrade disc images on fullreleases.com

Recommended Posts

I'm a cheap person and I had trouble convincing my wife that the Z1 was a worthwhile purchase to begin with. Now, we've moved, started new jobs, etc, so watching our money is a little more important, and another $250 on my Z1 isn't exactly winning over her heart. Although I would love those updated maps, my new town has been growing a lot and a good number of streets and POIs aren't on the maps.

So I started looking around for a disc image and a keygen of the update. I found the disc image on fullreleases.com. I used to pirate a lot of software but I haven't done so in a long time. I can't tell if these images would include a keygen or not. Has anyone used this site before, anyone have a membership? Anyone have a keygen?

The images that you found are the CNDV-70MTP discs that are used for the D1, D2, N1, N2, N3, etc. These will not work for the Z1. You can however upgrade your Z1 to Z2 maps. The cost is only $5 to unlock your drive and you can download the Z2 image from newsgroups, ftp, or via torrent. Give a quick look at the more recent threads in the z1/z2 hacking forum.

Everything is available here on this site, includeing the 700HD disk image. This is no keygen that I know if yet though.

I upgraded my Z1 with an image of the Z2 drive. It requires you to pull the hard drive out and connect it to your computer though. But garrettoomey is right, you could do if for $5. My writeup talks about $55 but that's only if you want to save your current Z1 stuff. You can unlock the drive for $5 if you don't want to save anything.

Thanks for the info. I noticed it was the wrong disc before I downloaded it. I did a search for the 700HD, not the 70MTP, and when it came up I assumed it was the correct one.

I'll consider pulling it out, I don't have much on my drive, just wondering if I really want to rip all of my cds again. I would obviously much rather use the discs, so I was excited when I found them, but my excitement was a little hasty.
