clicking or popping when starting up?

everytime i start my car it kinda sounds like theres a quick clicking noise comming from the HU (i think). or if i just set the key to 'on' i hera the click then everything starts up normally, its not like a delayed click its almost instantly with the powering up

If you have a factory Sub some units use 5volt for power rather than 12volt for power... you may need to get a voltage regulator.

I appreciate the PROPS and the advertisment for my stuff, but if what he is hearing is:

I don't think it's the 12V to 5V thing. In my truck it was a LOUD pop. From what I hear it's a very loud thump or so. I don't think anyone would call it a click.

Unfortunately I don't know what raddd's click is, I don't think I ever heard it. The HU does make some noises (reading the CD, etc). Could be something like that.
