netdan Posted December 27, 2014 Report Share Posted December 27, 2014 Hi folks, I just installed my new AVIC-6000NEX. I love the deck but I can't get Carplay to work. Here is what I have: AVIC-6000NEX - Firmware 1.08 iPhone 5s - IOS 8.1.2 (Also tried 8.1.1) Apple Lightning Cable All other functions work, including charging the phone and playing music via USB. The USB cable is plugged into USB-1. Here is what I have tried so far: Turning off WiFi Turning off Bluetooth Rebooting Phone Replacing cable The iPhone shows Carplay and the HU says "Attempting to connect to carplay" but both go away after a short period of time. It did work once, after I disable BT and WiFi, but went away almost immediately and would not work again. Anyone have suggestions or insight into an upcoming fix? donmontalvo Posted December 28, 2014 Report Share Posted December 28, 2014 CarPlay is enabled by default on AVIC-x000NEX models, but I remember disabling it by accident one time. I think that's under the Phone setup menu, can't remember how to get there as I type on my computer at my desk. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
