Bluetooth buttons not working (2014 Honda CR-V, AVIC-5000NEX, Maestro RR)

Recommended Posts

I went back to the shop to try to get the Off Hook and On Hook/Back buttons working again.

This time I stood there while the tech set things the way I liked, image below.

Those two buttons still don't work. Everything else works fine.

Any clues?

  • 2014 Honda CR-V (came with Base head unit)
  • AVIC-5000NEX (1.08 firmware)
  • iDataLink Maestro RR with the following settings:

Make sure you're getting various resistances from the RR SWI CIRCUIT 2 lead to ground, both while not pressing any button and also while pressing each "bluetooth" button individually.

My CR-Z has separate resistor networks for shuttle and bluetooth.  I opted for the custom programming; had to enter resistance values... but I noticed the wiring diagram for your vehicle shows connection to the CAN2L bus instead of shuttle resistor network (typically SWI CIRCUIT 1), so I don't know if custom programming is possible.
