agtom
My newly installed unit wont eject. It starts too it move say quarter of an inch and then returns to the original position. Any ideas? Is it fouling something if so would that be at the top of the unit or the bottom where there isn't enough clearance? Thanks,
jhren
What you are experiencing is exactly what will happen if there is not enough clearance at the bottom.
agtom
You were spot on! Many thanks uninstalled and reinstalled ensuring I left more clearance and all now working.
Bunger
I have this same problem with a 7000 in my Grand Cherokee, but the clearance issue is at the top. How do you repositon the unit lower? My conversion kit to mount the unit only has single drill holes, so I can't loosen and lower it.

My conversion kit to mount the unit only has single drill holes, so I can't loosen and lower it. Are the conversion kit side brackets plastic? Most are nowadays. Use a Dremel with side-cutting bit (say a 9901) to elongate the holes in the needed direction. Just speculating here. I'd need to see the actual kit parts to know for certain...
